MINNEAPOLIS, November 3, 2009 -- Target Corporation (NYSE:TGT) today reiterated its commitment to its Target India team and operation, which employs about 2,100 team members in Bangalore. The company strongly denied that it is engaged in any discussions, or has any plans, to sell its captive center.
“Our captive center in Bangalore continues to be an important part of our long-term strategy and is highly integrated with our work and team in Minneapolis,” said Gregg Steinhafel, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Target Corporation. “We remain firmly committed to this Target team and are proud of the work they do. Recent rumors about a sale are ridiculous speculation.”

Job DescriptionPurpose: Target is looking for an individual with graphic design and flash skills to work with a collaborative project team. In this role you will work on projects for online training experiences to give team members knowledge or skills that are key to their success at Target. Working with a client team internal to Target, you will be responsible for the development process and deliverables.
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Designs, develops, and creates graphic and multimedia project deliverables for the OE eLearning team.

Prepare illustrations or rough sketches of material, discussing them with clients and/or supervisors and making necessary changes. Produce still and animated graphics for eLearning projects. Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and esthetic design concepts. Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, and select style and size of type.
Use Adobe software product suite to generate new images. Draw and print charts, graphs, illustrations, and other artwork, using computer. Review final layouts and suggest improvements as needed. Partner with project coordinator to discuss and determine layout design. Develop graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and Internet websites.
